If the recent happenings on America’s Wall Street and Main Streets aren’t an indication of our nation’s need for change, we don’t know what is. Frankly, a country that is willing to give hundreds of billions of dollars to companies with bad business practices, yet throws its children into rundown, overcrowded schools, needs a complete makeover. And Sweat Records — a store that’s in the process of its own overhaul after the destruction caused by a few smash-and-grab idiots — is doing its part to contribute to the campaign for change. On Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m., come out and join the cool kids at the Barack N’ Roll Bake Sale + Voter Registration.

You can tie on your apron and bake cookies to sell or just bring your sweet tooth. All proceeds will benefit the Florida Campaign for Change. Obama gear will be on sale, DJ Hottpants will spin, and you’ll be able to register to vote, verify your status, or request early/absentee ballots while you nosh on cupcakes and sip organic coffee.
